KOBUDO CLASSES OKINAWAN RYUKYU KOBUDO RYUKONKAI SCHOOL ITALIAN BRANCH PIEDMONT DISTRICT

Our society is glad to propose to all Martial Arts practicing a course of Kobudo opened to all the Federations and Agencies of sport promotion and to all the interested dojos. The aforesaid lessons, happen with regular frequency, one Saturday a month, with timetable 03,00 pm. to 05,30 pm. The place of the course is Palestra Comunale “Guastalla” via Guastalla n. 24 bis Torino. The students-societies interested, will have to comunicate their adhesion filling in the attached form, and to send it to the addresses enclosed therein. In consideration of the difficulty of the art, than in its intrinsic learning it demands numerous years purposely above all dedicates to the four fundamental weapons (Bo, Nunchaku, Tonfa and Sai) – each of which it requires a shape of particular ability – for the first academic year we propose to mainly offer “a BASIC” but effective instruction, mostly dedicated to the techniques of the Bo and Nunchaku. In conformity with the grade of the learning of the students, let alone to the time available, w ‘ll be able to dedicate also a short time point out to the Tonfa/Sai. The students must be equipped of the necessary weapons for the course. For the correct purchase of the same ones, w ‘ll give indication on the type to use. We remember that every Society/student is responsible for how much as regards the obligatory assurance to just the Agency of own reference and must be in possession of the pertinent health certificate; for the under-age students the authorization of the parent is necessary. FIRST HOUR ‘S LESSON : BASIC COURSE OF BO
a)-
Kihon, with the simple but basic techniques of attack (kubikan, chudan
uchi, chudan nuki, etc.) and of parry (jodan uke, kubi uke, kake uke,
etc.). b)- first basic kata concerning on the learned techniques. c)- Kihon-kumi-bo (Bo to Bo to). It is a matter of pre-establish combat (Yakusoku kumite) subdivides in fundamental sections. It concerns on techniques of attack, parry and counter-attack in the several positions of sizen dachi, shiko dachi, uki ashi dachi etc. (its point out the grade of learning and mastery of the weapon, caught up for the first basic course).
SECOND HOUR ‘S LESSON: BASIC COURSE OF NUNCHAKU
a)- Kihon, with the simpler, however basic techniques, of attack (shomen uchi, kamae gaeshi, age uchi, etc.) and parry (jodan uke, soto uke, juji uke, etc.), above all in the fundamental positions of neko ashi dachi and uki ashi dachi. b)- first basic kata (nunchaku no kata). c)- Kihon-kumi-nunchaku (Nunchaku to Bo to). It is the fixed combat, divided into sections between Bo and Nunchaku, fundamental for the first basic course.

FIRST COMPETITION OF KOBUDO-AICS IN TORINO (the 02.18.2007)
PIEDMONT REGION: SPROUTING WINGS TO THE WIND!
As a result of the recent visit of the DT. Livio Liverani to Okinawa, supporting profitable training revolts in particolar way to the Kobudo, the Piedmont Region completes an ulterior jump of quality, enriching just the patrimony of technical acquaintance. Moreover the day 18 last February has been carried in Torino the first competition of Kobudo, in which the athletes it engages have obtained excellent turns in the field dedicated to the kata of Bo, styling oneself of goblets and medals. For the occasion a felt dedicated thanks to Provincial Committee AICS of Torino and to its responsible “Karate Division” Mr. Costantino Sassano is right. To the athletes it engages go the best ones not only compliments for turns out obtained, but above all for the engagement that constantly dedicates to this ancient one, poor even though noble Art. A note of merits it will be sended to the world-wide center Ryu Kyu Kobudo Ryukonkai in Okinawa.
